ENGL 1301 - Composition I

Credits: 3
A combined lecture/lab, performance-based course designed to further strengthen students’ critical reading and writing skills. This course provides practice with the use of several expository aims and patterns of development, emphasizes organizing and writing of the expository essay, and facilitates an understanding of grammar, rhetoric and usage. The course integrates the development of critical reading and writing skills through practice and discussion. Has a required lab. Multiple required expository essays.
